Stoneware vase, Stig Lindberg, "Vitrin", Gustavsberg

Swedish designer, ceramist, illustrator, and painter Stig Lindberg (1916–1982) was one of Sweden’s most influential creatives during the golden age of Scandinavian design. After graduating from Konstfack in 1937, he joined Gustavsbergceramics under Wilhelm Kåge, whom he later succeeded as artistic director in 1949.
During the 1950s and 1960s, Lindberg created some of Gustavsberg’s most iconic collections—Pungo (1953), Spisa Ribb (1955), Domino (1955), Terma (1955), and Berså (1960–74)—which remain celebrated classics of mid-century design.Great vintage condition with signs of use.
