Tin bowl by Edvin Ollers, Schreuder & Olsson

Edvin Ollers, originally Olsson, was a pioneering Swedish industrial designer and painter known for advancing Swedish glass art. Trained at Stockholm’s School of Industrial Design and Gothenburg’s Valand Academy, he began at Kosta in 1917, designing medieval-inspired glassware like bowls and wine glasses, often in green or blue. He later worked at Reijmyre (1918), Elme (1926), Limmared (c. 1930), and returned to Kosta in 1931, also contributing to Alsterfors, Åfors, and Ekenäs glassworks. Ollers designed cut-decorated glass in 20th-century classicism, ceramics for Upsala-Ekeby, pewter and silver models, and book bindings.
